Top 10 Chain Restaurants for Vegetarians

Those of you who’ve been with me since the start of my Veggie LAD journey will know I’m a big fan of independent, pop-up, hipster-tastic restaurants and food outlets. But, the fact is, we can’t always feast on a mac ‘n’ cheese truffle burger served from a cafe disguised as a living room in East London. Chain restaurants have become part of our foodie identity in Britain and some of them are doing some amazing work for vegetarians. All the places in my top 10 do brilliant veggie options at affordable prices, so go there with confidence and enjoy! I decided to only feature restaurants that have more than 3 sites and have outlets outside London. This put some great places out of the running: Chipotle, Hummus Bros, Mildred’s… If you’re a London veggie, these are also great!

I’ll admit, ‘raw food’ sets off my fad alarm. I love cooking, it’s my passion and I also don’t think that cooking my food is going to lead me to an untimely death. However, new food experiences excite me so I went with an open mind to Rawligion, London’s newest raw food café. For me there was only one criteria: would it taste good? The answer, was a resounding yes.
